The Rawls Museum Arts was founded in 1958 with the mission “To promote, encourage and develop interest in, knowledge of, appreciation for, and practice of the arts; to provide collective cultural enrichment for the people of the City of Franklin, and the counties of Southampton, Isle of Wight, Surry, and Sussex.” As an affiliate of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, we can bring a wide variety of art experiences to all ages through activities such as, art exhibits, workshops, summer classes, and more. We hope you will be a part enhancing our community through the arts by sponsoring the efforts of Rawls Museum Arts.
Rawls Museum Arts is funded through grants as well as various donations which includes memberships. If you would like to support the efforts to share the arts in the communities we serve, please see the form below for details of our membership levels. Your gift is fully tax-deductible and will go directly to the operation of our museum, exhibits, classes, and programs.
