The 2019 Rawls Museum Arts Juried Show

Open to All Virginia & North Carolina Artists

On view March 15- April 12, 2019 

JUROR
Betsy DiJulio, M.A., Ed.S., is an award-winning artist and National Board Certified high school art teacher (Citywide Teacher of the Year, VA Beach City Public Schools, 2010), vegan cookbook author (The Blooming Platter: A Harvest of Seasonal Vegan Recipes, Vegan Heritage Press, 2011), blogger (TheBloomingPlatter.com and TheBloomingPalette.com), and freelance writer for both local and national publications. She writes on topics of art/art education, home and garden design, vegan cooking, green initiatives, small businesses and more. When she’s not in her classroom, studio, office, kitchen, or walking her dogs, she can be found in downward dog on her yoga mat. 

AWARDS
$1000 will be awarded including $500 and solo show in the Francis Gallery for the 2020 season to the best in show
 
CALENDER
Work due at Rawls by 5pm March 2, 2019
All work submitted will be on view. Awards will be selected by the juror, in person.
Opening reception March 15 from 6pm to 8pm
Exhibition on view March 15- April 12, 2019
Pickup of work April 16-18 from 1-5
Gallery hours are Tues. and Saturdays 1-5pm, Wed. through Fri. 10am- 5pm
 
GUIDELINES
Media: Only original works not previously shown at RMA and created in the last 4 years will be eligible. All media will be accepted.
 
Entry Requirements: Works should not exceed 60" in any direction including frame and 50 lbs maximum weight. Accepted works must remain for the duration of the show. RMA reserves the right to refuse entry to works with unusual installation requirements or otherwise judged unsuitable. No substitutions or extractions will be allowed once work is selected.

Submission: Artists of ANY AGE may submit 2 pieces for an entry fee of $20.

Delivery and pick up of work: Shipped works must be in reusable containers and must be accompanied by return shipping fees. Identification labels must be affixed to the back of the work with tape or other removable method, and each piece should also have a permanent identification on the back with the artist’s name and title of the piece. Work not retrieved by May 5, 5:00 pm will become the property of RMA.

Sales Commission: The sale price on your entries should include the 25% commission. Works may be NFS. 

Insurance: Artworks will be insured while at Rawls and include the sales price (less 25% commission) from the time of delivery until the end of designated pick up dates.

Jurying and Notification: All participants will be shown. No phone calls please.
